Our most frequently asked question:

Q#1: My house is _____sq ft and I want to heat the water for __X__ amount of appliances, will these units work for that?
A: The size of the house/amount of people/amount of appliances doesn't matter, what counts is how close the unit is to the appliance/room needing the hot water. It's best to have the unit installed right with the machines needing the hot water supply. These units are designed for efficiency and the closer you can place them to the source of water, the more efficient they will be. If you have a lot you are wanting it to do, don't get the very smallest unit. If in doubt get the larger sized units - we have four low priced models - much lower priced than $900 local store price.

1: Do you have a whole house model? that is 110v, natural gas?
A: I do not recommend whole house water heaters as they cost so much and waste so much hot water getting to each of the faucets. Why pay $1000-$3000 for a whole house one when you could have 2 of my water heaters at each point of use for under $300 each. My water heaters don't need a 110v hookup, The igniter is 2 D batteries so you have hot water even during power outages. We have natural gas or propane units ready to ship.

2: Is your water heater Energy Star rated?
A: It is not officially rated, yet, we are applying for energy star ratings now. However, when you see them work they are hardly on at all almost in their own category. Electric heaters are the worst by almost double. Tank water heaters are on a lot of the time whether you use them or not. With my tankless water heaters if you need it on for 5 minutes that's all the energy it uses.
3: Can I run two bathrooms off of one unit? They are 12' apart.
A: Yes, you can run 2 bathrooms. It would be best to not have two people taking a shower at the same time which is not a big deal.

4: What is the life expectancy of these heaters?
A: I would think these units could last 10+ years. In two years we have not had even one return or one needing a repair which I think is pretty amazing. Another thing that is nice - you don't have to run electrical to them - the starting spark is from 2 D batteries. Also if your power goes out you can still take a hot shower.

5: Are these units UL listed and US approved?
A They aren't UL approved because they are gas, and you don't have to plug them in to wasteful electric. They have been approved for US use. Also many heavier duty parts were used. We have never had a problem with these units. They are so trouble free and easy to install. 100% happy users. Look at my 100% E-bay feedback rating. We ship fast too.

6: Is there any manufacturer's warranty?
A: 1 year. Very trouble free units. We are the source and super easy to reach.

7: Hi, Who is the manufacturer and what model number/name is this particular unit?
A: Greetings, We work with helping people, save money and become more self sufficient (www.aceguru.com). If we wanted a product like a Instant hot water heater but all that were available were too expensive or poor quality we designed a better unit and had it made for us in quantity. We continually are making improvements. So to answer your question we call it the CozyHot brand. 100% happy users, check my feedback.

8: I have a well that is 360 ft down and our water is quite cold. do you think this system will heat the water hot enough, there are normally two of us with washer, dishwasher, and two showers a day. we live on the first floor with 1800 sq ft but at holiday times we use the entire 3600 sq ft with three bathrooms and up to 10 people will this system also handle a max of 10 of would we need additional units and how many thanks -Wayne Jan-05-09
A: Greetings, I use cold well water and rain water in outside storage tanks when it is 6 degrees outside and it still heats it up fine. As long as you don't run the washing machine, dishwasher and shower at the same time you should be OK. As you have so many people there you might try the larger 12L unit for extra hot water. You can do unlimited showers in a row if you want from each water heater. I would put a separate water heater by each bathroom so you can be running showers continously with each if you want. They use so much less energy than a always-on tank heater.

9: Hi, I currently have a gas 50Gal hot water heater. I have a two story house with a bathroom on each floor. Will your heater work well in my house?
A: If you want to save on-going money, waste less water and get blazing fast hot water put a hot heater on the wall in each bathroom. Many people have been ordering my heater and have had 100% happy customers. Most can't believe how much less energy they use. Easy to install too. For a whole house try the 12L unit

10: This hot water heater would be used for one area of use, such as kitchen. Additional heaters would be needed for bathroom and laundry area, right?
A: It is best to use them close to where you need the water. One by the kitchen? One by the bathroom? My water heaters are at such a good price you can get two. It can cut your energy use by up to 90% .... or more.

11: Is this size adequate for a bathroom with a tub/shower, and 2 small bathroom sinks? Thanks Jan-03-09
A: It could do that with no problem. Remember you aren't using everything all at one time most likely anyway. Get a tankless heater and save money every month on your hot water bill.

12: I have seen some of the water heaters at home stores and they have 4 times the capacity. Also I have seen cheaper ones on E-bay. What can you tell me?
A: Greetings and thanks for writing.
When I was at Lowes last time and asked, taking notes how much their tankless heaters were I was given the $985 price. That was the cheapest one they had I was told and they were not sure if they had one in stock. They had never sold one and knew nothing about them.
These water heaters may have had more capacity but you don’t really want a whole house water heater. Put them near they are needed. For saving energy I don't recommend a whole house tankless heater as much cold water gets wasted waiting for the hot water to arrive.
I have found with my own use, using many of my heaters continuously daily, you don't need any more size. I get all the hot water I need.
My units don't have a standing pilot and use no power when not needed. They also use much less power when running.
I ordered one of the units off E-bay figuring it would solve my hot water problems. I was so surprised. It did not heat well, leaked and finally exploded and melted in front of my two helpers I was trying to tell about it. I sent it back for a refund. (that took 5 months)
At that point I still definitely wanted a tankless heater, couldn't get anywhere with information at Lowe’s, so created on paper what I really wanted to have. A device that hardly used any energy, had better parts, was compact in size, extra power for special times and low cost enough to have several through the house rather than one big one.
I now have a garage full of brand new excellent units, custom manufactured and delivered, in stock. They have been a dream. Just hook up gas in, cold water in, hot water out and vent and you are done and no problems after that.
Visitors can see our unit installed and working in several places on the farm, we have extra parts, and do our own warranty work here. We have created and brought to our community many other innovative items and many more coming.

13: Q: Would this unit be able to handle one bathroom, one kitchen (with dishwasher), and two washing machines? Also, the living space is on the second floor, could I mount this unit in the basement and would it have the power to carry all the way up two stories? Thanks.
A: You are pushing this to be a whole house water heater. How far is the bathroom/kitchen from each other? Your house water pressure would take the hot water where you wanted but a better way it to put a water heater by the bathroom and one by the kitchen (still cheaper than a whole house, wasteful, water heater $1200-$3500). Smaller point of service water heaters use less power than oversized expensive units for the exceptions and multiple simultaneous users. Be sensible and don't take a shower when the dish washer is going. Get faster hot water this way with far less wasted water, waiting for the hot water to get there. I hope this explanation helped. The water heaters are surprising good, and heat more water than others we have tested in this size. 100% happy users. It saves money, energy and you get hot water fast.

14: So then would I use this with my existing hot water heater or buy a couple of these & get rid of the hot water heater?
A: Our Instant hot water heater would eliminate your big wasteful tank hot water heater that is on 24/7. We have one in the kitchen area, bathroom, garage and basement for super fast lowest cost hot water.

15: Can I install one of these heaters in my motor home?
A: I think they would work better and use far less power than a conventional pilot light, hot and on all the time, water tank heaters. Also they don’t freeze and explode in the winter. You also don’t have to wait for the water to heat up. Next spring I will be installing one in my motor home to save fuel and get hot water anytime I want.
16: I have a remote hunting cabin that has never had hot water. How would I get this to work. A nice hot shower would sure sound good after a long day in the woods.
A: Go get a used tub or shower and put inside or out. Use a low flow shower head. Install a tankless hot water heater connected to a portable propane tank. Have a spare one too. Get a 12v RV on demand water pump and put to your water source. Can you collect rainwater there? Run it through a leaf filter then an inexpensive water filter and you are good to go. You can use this pump and water for the kitchen sink too. Get our book Self sufficiency for how to do all these things in more detail and also making a $20 composting toilet, $5 urinal and much more. The more you are self sufficient the less you are dependant on the outside wobbly world.

17: What size water heater units do you sell?
A: We carry 6L, 8L 12L & 20L units, both Natural Gas (NG) and Propane (LPG).

18: Can this use my present system double wall 4" ID flue that goes straight vertically about 6 feet to the cap?
A: Yes these units are adaptable. You can usually use your old venting system just fine.

19: Does this heater come with both natural gas and propane jets? I have propane.
A: We carry both types of heater. No they don't come with both jets in one.

20: I have a concrete plant and I want to switch over to on demand hot water I need at least 12 GPM and the water temp to be 170 the inflow will be around 45 degrees. Can this unit provide that?
A: Greetings, 12 GPM is a very large amount of hot water. What are you needning it for? Washing hands or filling a Jacuzzi quickly?

21: Do you sell vents for these or do you know where to get them?
A: Yes you should be able to get the materials needed for venting at any hardware supplier such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware or local hardware store. Twin wall galvanized works fine and is of low cost.

22: Very interested in this heater. I have a 40 gal LPG water heater now and hate to think of the waste. My furthest faucets are 12' apart and I believe 1 unit would do for me and the Mrs. What are the dimensions?
A: Dimensions are as follows:
6L - 22x13x8
8L - 25x15x10
12L - 29x17x9

23: How are parts for this item obtained?
A: You can either contact us to find replacement parts, or check with your local hardware store and save yourself some shipping fees.

24: Now, if you have a standard electric under-sink tank and hot water on demand faucet, you really get tea-hot 200 degree water within 5 seconds. Is that the case here, or is it different?
A: Do you really want 200 degree water - that is scalding. 104 degrees is a hot tub temperature. The under counter heaters are electric, perhaps 6000 watts and put huge surge loads on the local electrical system. Our gas heaters get very hot water and should work fine for hot tea.

25: How difficult is it to install when replacing a 40 gallon natural gas water heater. Can I do it myself?
A: These units are very easy to install, it should only take about an hour. You can use our installation and Technical Support pages, to guide you in your installation.
