If we get questions we add them here to make it easier for you to shop.

Q: Do you have a whole house model? that is 110v, natural gas?
A:
I do not recommend whole house water heaters as they cost so much and waste so much hot water getting to each of the faucets. Why pay $1000-$3000 for a whole house one when you could have 2 of my water heaters at each point of use for under $220 each. My water heaters don't need a 110v hookup. igniter is 2 D batteries so you have hot water even during power outages. We have natural gas or propane units ready to ship.

Our philosophy is need less, waste less, use less and have more left over for next time.
Be a conserver not a consumer.

Q: Is your water heater Energy Star rated?
A:
It is not officially rated, but when you see them work they are hardly on at all almost in their own category. Electric heaters are the worst by almost double. Tank water heaters are on alot of the time whether you use them or not. With my tankless water heaters if you need it on for 5 minutes that's all the energy it uses.

Q: I think you are a crook and scammer. How come you sold a water heater for less last week?
A:
On Ebay we have a starting price and customers can bid it to any amount high or low they want. It can be a different price paid every auction. That is what makes Ebay so exciting for all. If this stresses you out just buy at the neighborhood store for 3x the price.

Q:  Can I run two bathrooms off of one unit? They are 12' apart.
A: Yes, you can run 2 bathrooms. It would be best to not have two people taking a shower at the same time which is not a big deal.

Q: What is the life expectancy?
A:
I would think these units could last 10+ years. In two years we have not had even one return or one needing a repair which I think is pretty amazing. Another thing that is nice - you don't have to run electrical to them - the starting spark is from 2 D batteries. Also if your power goes out you can still take a hot shower.

Q: You have a very interesting description of a "GAS" heater Jan-12-09
A:
Greetings, What was your question? Yes, these are gas, not electric water heaters. If you see an error in my listing or something that could be made better please let me know so it can be corrected immediately. Thank you for writing.

Q: Are these units UL listed and US approved? Jan-12-09
A:
They aren't UL approved because they are gas, and you don't have to plug them in to wasteful electric. They have been approved for US use. Also many heavier duty parts were used. We have never had a problem with these units. So trouble free and easy to install. 100% happy users. Look at my Ebay feedback rating. We ship fast too.

Q: How is venting accomplished I see no stack in the pictures thanks bob Jan-11-09
A:
A 3" stack or L stick in at the top. This unit is in the garage and is on for such a short time, it hasn't been vented yet. We have never noticed any fumes. It is always best to go ahead and vent anyway.

Q: Is there any manufacturer's warranty? Jan-10-09
A:
1 year. Very trouble free units. Justin

Q: I have a well that is 360 ft down and our water is quite cold. do you think this system will heat the water hot enough , there are two of us normally with front load washer, dishwasher, and two showers a day. we live on the first floor with 1800 sq ft but at holiday times we use the entire 3600 sq ft with three bathrooms and up to 10 people will this system also handle a max of 10 of would we need additional units and how many thanks wayne Jan-05-09
A:
Greetings, I use cold well water and rain water in outside storage tanks when it is 6 degrees outside and it still heats it up fine. As long as you don't run the washing machine, dishwasher and shower at the same time you should be OK. You can do 50 showers in a row if you want from each water heater. I would put a separate water heater by each bathroom so you can be running showers continously with each if you want. They use so much less energy than a always-on tank heater. Justin

Q: Hi, Who is the manufacturer and what model number/name is this particular unit? Thanks.....doug Jan-04-09

Q: Hi, I currently have a gas 50Gal hot water heater. I have a two story house with a bathroom on each floor. Will your heather work well in my house?? Jan-03-09
A:
If you want to save on-going money, waste less water and get blazing fast hot water put a hot heater on the wall in each bathroom. Many people have been ordering my heater and have had 100% happy customers. Most can't believe how much less energy they use. Easy to install too.

Q: This hot water heater would be used for one area of use, such as kitchen. Add'l heaters would be needed for bathroom and laundry area, right? Thanks. siegie Jan-01-09
A:
It is best to use them close to where you need the water. One by the kitchen? One by the bathroom? My water heaters are at such a good price you can get two. It can cut your energy use by up to 90% ....more

Q: Is this size adequate for a bathroom with a tub/shower, and 2 small bathroom sinks? Thanks Jan-03-09
A:
It could that with no problem. Remember you aren't using everything all at one time most likely anyway. Get a tankless heater and save money every month on your hot water bill.

Q: I have seen some of the water heaters at home stores and they have 4 times the capacity. Also I have seen cheaper ones on Ebay. What can you tell me?
A:
Greetings and thanks for writing.
When I was at Lowes last time and asked, taking notes how much their tankless heaters were I was given the $985 price. That was the cheapest one they had I was told and they were not sure if they had one in stock. They had never sold one and knew nothing about them.
These water heaters may have had more capacity but you don’t really want a whole house water heater. Put them near they are needed. For saving energy I don't recommend a whole house tankless heater as much cold water gets wasted waiting for the hot water to arrive.
I have found with my own use, using many of my heaters continuously daily, you don't need any more size. I get all the hot water I need.
My units don't have a standing pilot and use no power when not needed. They also use much less power when running.
I ordered one of the units off Ebay figuring it would solve my hot water problems. I was so surprised. It did not heat well, leaked and finally exploded and melted in front of my two helpers I was trying to tell about it. I sent it back for a refund. (that took 5 months)
At that point I definitely wanted a tankless heater, couldn't get anywhere with information at Lowe’s, so created on paper what I really wanted to have. A device that hardly used any energy, had better parts, was compact in size, extra power for special times and low cost enough to have several through the house rather than one big one.
I now have a garage full of excellent units, custom manufactured and delivered, in stock. They have been a dream. Just hook up gas in, cold water in, hot water out and vent and you are done and no problems after that.
People can see our unit installed and working in several places on the farm, we have extra parts, and do our own warranty work here. We have created and brought to our community many other innovative items and many more coming.
Best wishes, Justin See my website www.cozyhotwater.com

A: I was surprised by how much attention these heaters have been getting.
We live on a unique self sustainable farm where we create lots of innovative things.
We have solar power, collect rainwater, drip irrigation to the garden, grow 100 strawberries per square foot in the air and more.
If we have been frustrated with many products that were available in the stores,
we would carefully design and have manufactured in quantity, a better product and sell it for much less. We are trying to do our part to help the country use/need less energy.

Q: Does the on demand tankless hot water heater allow for setting of temperature?
If so, what is the range available?
A:
It have 3 ways to set the temperature: by water flow, a summer and winter setting and a large low > high knob. You will find my heaters being able to heat much faster and stronger than many other heaters out there. (We bought them first and know by actual installation and experience)

Q: Would this unit be able to handle one bathroom, one kitchen (with dishwasher), and two washing machines? Also, the living space is on the second floor, could I mount this unit in the basement and would it have the power to carry all the way up two stories? Thanks.
A:
You are pushing this to be a whole house water heater. How far is the bathroom/kitchen from each other? Your house water pressure would take the hot water where you wanted but a better way it to put a water heater by the bathroom and one by the kitchen (still cheaper than a whole house, wasteful, water heater $1200-$3500). Smaller point of service water heaters use less power than oversized expensive units for the exceptions and multiple simultaneous users. Be sensible and don't take a shower when the dish washer is going. Get faster hot water this way with far less wasted water, waiting for the hot water to get there. I hope this explanation helped. The water heaters are surprising good, and heat more water than others we have tested in this size. 100% happy users. It saves money, energy and you get hot water fast.

Q: I have researched these before & have always been quoted prices of $3500 with installation. Why are yours so cheap?
A:
These are probably for big whole house units. They waste a bunch of cold water coming out before the hot water gets there. Install by where you need it.

Q: Where does one get the vent and wall flue? How much do those typically run?
A:
You can get the 3 1/2" "L" pipes and a rain cap, from a home store for under $20?
If you can't find a 3 1/2 vent pipe, we have had people get adapters or even just stuff it into aluminum foil at the edges to make it tight.

Q: So then would I use this with my existing hot water heater or buy a couple of these & get rid of the hot water heater? Wouldn't that be nice!?
A:
Our Instant hot water heater would eliminate your big wasteful tank hot water heater that is on 24/7.
We have one in the kitchen area, bathroom, garage and basement for super fast lowest cost hot water.

Q: Can I install one of these heaters in my motorhome?
A:
I think they would work better and use far less power than a convention pilot light on all the time water tank heaters. Also they don’t freeze and explode in the winter. You also don’t have to wait for the water to heat up. Next spring I will be installing one in my motorhome to save fuel and get hot water anytime I want.

Q: I have a remote hunting cabin that has never had hot water. How would I get this to work. A nice hot shower would sure sound good after a long day in the woods.
A:
Go get a used tub or shower and put inside or out. Use a low flow shower head. Install a tankless hot water heater connected to a portable propane tank. Have a spare one too. Get a 12v RV on demand water pump and put to your water source. Can you collect rainwater there? Run it through a leaf filter then an inexpensive water filter and you are good to go. You can use this pump and water for the kitchen sink too. Get our book Self sufficiency for how to do all these things in more detail and also making a $20 composting toilet, $5 urinal and much more. The more you are self sufficient the less you are dependant on the outside wobbly world.
